
and then after the studio explore the concept further at home. The idea was to use a wide range of surfaces and media. I liked the idea of collaging the vase and then showing the same vase shattered. It took quite a lot of work creating duplicate jigsaw puzzles. In the end unfortunately i managed to transfer a lot of pastel and charcoal onto the vase and was unable to remove it and was obliged to start over again. The vase had run me out of creative juices – so in the end i made a perspective style drawing on plywood, with corplas collaging for windows, ink base and watercolor and ink on a corplas foreground. Many lessons learned from that including the ink will bleed into the plywood along the grain and the corplas will bend after application of watercolor and would be very difficult flatten.
