Another subject I looked at was the Acropolis in Greece. I had for decades wanted to see this and finally in 2022 I was able to visit it. I have a great love of Roman and Greek history and this had some potential I thought. Below is my photograph of the Acropolis and another photograph of the Acropolis in the evening – which I had visited but couldn’t find a photo of for some reason. A great subject for a yellow violet color scale. I wasn’t sure again whether it would meet the criteria – though I had seen it and did have a photo of it.
I still wasn’t too sure about this, so I cast around for something I could see in the garden, in the house? Grandkids? Wife? Dog? Trees? Then I thought about a classical still life. Why not riff on one of those, select a couple of yellows and violet-ish items and then make a diptych with one image in the actual colors and one reversed – a possibility??
Just for fun I did a quick and dirty rendering of the raster file to vector and then played around with the colors. It could make an interesting project – but for some future time
