The third assignment was much more within my comfort zone. Doing research on a subject and writing up that research is something that I have done most of my life as a consultant. We had to choose a portrait artist and my initial approach was to google “The top 50 best portrait artists” and see what came up. All the usual suspects of course came out of the woodwork. Rembrandt, Van Gogh, DaVinci, Kahlo etc. but one name that popped up which I was less familiar with was Edward Hopper. I explain why I chose him and more in this assignment.
